Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was a 2024 president candidate who suspended his independent campaign in August 2024. Kennedy threw his support behind Republican nominee Donald Trump. From April 2023 to September 2023, he ran as a Democratic challenger to incumbent President Joe Biden. In November 2024, President Donald Trump nominated Kennedy to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. Kennedy has worked as an environmental lawyer, author and antivaccine activist.
