Mike Johnson is a Republican U.S. Representative for Louisiana's 4th Congressional District first elected in 2016. He was elected as House Speaker on Oct. 25, 2023. Before he served in Congress, Johnson spent nearly 20 years litigating constitutional law cases in district and appellate courts nationwide.
