Janet Howell

Janet Howell, D-Fairfax, has been a member of the Virginia Senate since 1992 and represents the 32nd District. She serves on the Rules, Finance, Privileges and Elections, Education and Health, and Courts of Justice committees. In addition, she is a member of the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission, the Joint Commission on Technology and Science, and the Virginia Crime Commission. She is a native Northern Virginian. Howell earned a B.A. from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio, in 1966 and an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvaniain in 1968.
