The Family Foundation is a non-profit organization that lobbies for socially conservative policies in Virginia. Founded in 1985, the group has pushed for abortion restrictions, a constitutional amendment declaring marriage must be between a man and a woman, charter schools and conscience clauses for people peacefully exercising religious beliefs.
