Nope, Hillary Clinton was not executed in 2018

If your time is short

Hillary Clinton was not killed in December 2018. She has made numerous public appearances in the years since.

See the sources for this fact-check

A conspiracy-laden video made the Facebook rounds in early August claiming that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was killed more than four years ago.

“Hillary is comatose vertical meat suit,” read the text on the video, “HRC was DETAINED September 11, 2016, ARRESTED November 1, 2017 and EXECUTED December 31, 2018.”

The audio of the 10-minute long video adds more detail to the wild tale, noting she was “put to death” in Guantanamo Bay. The speaker claims to have a photo from “shortly after the execution was handled.”

The narrator also says that “45” — a reference to former President Donald Trump —  witnessed the execution.

Clinton’s alleged execution was one of many outlandish claims made in the video, including that the White House “has been used as a military prison and an execution chamber” and that soft drinks have “human embryonic kidney” in them.

PolitiFact has checked similar claims about Clinton’s death before — and rated them all Pants on Fire.

News of Clinton’s arrest, or killing, would have been widely covered by the media. No such reports exist, nor is there any credible evidence to support the claim.

Clinton has attended several events in the past few years. She has campaigned for Democratic candidates, released podcasts, and was on CNN two weeks ago commenting on Trump’s indictment in Fulton County, Georgia.

Hillary Clinton was not executed in 2018. We rate this claim Pants on Fire!
