RedState Gathering drawing 10 GOP presidential hopefuls to Atlanta

By April Hunt
August 7, 2015

Just hours after Thursday night’s first national GOP debate in Cleveland, Georgia plays host to a line-up of 10 Republican presidential candidates for the weekend.

The RedState Gathering at the InterContinental Buckhead will feature several high-profile politicians and players, from Donald Trump to South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to organizer and conservative site RedState.com editor Erick Erickson.

But arguably the payoff will be hour-long speeches from the would-be White House residents, kicking off with an address by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Friday morning.

Also speaking: Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio and Scott Walker. Trump will speak at the event’s after-party Saturday night.

PolitiFact Georgia will live-Tweet the presidential wannabes and share our fact-checks of the candidates’ previous claims.

Read up on specific candidates fact-checks below and feel free to comment on our rulings on our Facebook page.
