Joe Scarborough apologizes to PolitiFact, sort of

By Aaron Sharockman
May 6, 2015

Joe Scarborough apologized on his May 6, 2015, show for wrongly claiming that Algeria was on the U.S. terror list

“I’m not a big fan of public confessions, but I must offer a heartfelt apology to PolitiFact,” Scarborough said, somewhat sarcastically. Scarborough went on to accuse PolitiFact and PunditFact of going into the footnotes to reach our conclusion. (Algeria never has been on the terror list and is considered an ally in the war against terrorism.)

“Joe, I think anyone interested and concerned with the concept of accuracy feels relieved today,” guest Mike Barnicle said.
