  • This claim originated on self-described satire sites.

See the sources for this fact-check

Taylor Swift is among several artists under speculation as possible Super Bowl LIX halftime show performers in 2025.

But claims that X owner Elon Musk allied himself with sewer water over the popular singer are false.

“Elon Musk: ‘I’d rather drink sewer water than see Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl,’” a May 23 Facebook post said.

This post was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram.)

But we found no evidence that Musk said this. There are no credible news or public statements from Musk to corroborate the claim.

Rather, we found it posted on self-described satire sites and social media accounts

We rate this post False.
