Presidential candidate Joe Biden is a frequent target of doctored videos and pictures.

Now a widely shared tweet features a video of the former vice president stammering as he tries to answer questions from hosts on The View about his interactions with women.

“Seven women accused you of touching them without permission,” co-host Sunny Hostin is seen saying. “Are you sorry for what you did? Are you prepared to apologize to those women?”

The video cuts between Joe Biden stuttering as he tries to answer questions and The View hosts looking uncomfortable in close up shots.

The text of the tweet reads, “WTF did I just sit through? Biden’s cognitive issues are worse than we thought.”

This clip was falsely edited to make Biden seem like he couldn’t apologize or finish a sentence in this interview. In the original video, he discusses how the Me Too movement has helped him evaluate his actions.

“I have to be, and everybody has to be, more aware of the private spaces of both men and women… and I am much more cognizant of that,” Biden says to Hostin’s question.

The top right corner of the tweeted clip offers a clue about what happened. That’s where the Daily Caller logo with the word “comedy” appears.

When this video was uploaded on April 26, 2019 to Daily Caller, a conservative news and opinion website, it was posted under a comedy tag. The title originally identified the video as satire and described it as “some highlights of his most incoherent moments.”

Comments then and now — like the tweet by @johncardillo — show not everyone is sharing the clip in its joke context, obscuring Biden’s real answer.
