Trump Inauguration: Fact-checks and executive orders

By PolitiFact Staff
January 20, 2025

PolitiFact is live fact-checking Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th president of the United States. Trump will give his inaugural address after he and Vice President-elect JD Vance are sworn in at noon EST at the U.S. Capitol. Most major TV networks will broadcast the inauguration, and the White House will live stream the ceremony on its website.

We’ve fact-checked Trump 1,071 times since 2011. We’re also tracking Trump’s campaign promises for his second term. To suggest a claim from Trump or another speaker for us to fact-check, email truthometer@politifact.com.
