Budget battle puts some Evers promises in doubt

The upcoming state budget holds the key to many of Gov. Tony Evers’ campaign promises.

But with state government divided and Republicans already pruning out large swaths of Evers’ first budget, many of the initiatives Evers pledged to pursue are in doubt.

We take a look at three of healthcare-related promises in that vein.

— Protect coverage for pre-existing conditions

— Accept federal Medicaid expansion money

— Expand funding for Planned Parenthood
