PolitiFact Texas marks two years on Austin’s KUT FM

By W. Gardner Selby
May 29, 2013

Austin’s KUT News, at 90.5 on your FM dial or online, marked two years of recapping our fact checks this week.

The Q&A segments, usually hosted by the station’s news director, Emily Donahue, give us a chance to walk through a recent Truth-O-Meter project including, of course, the rating given to the statement we scrutinized.

In the latest segment, we revisited our look at Gov. Rick Perry’s salute to Sam Houston’s principles; the Republican governor’s history lesson came out Half True.

See that full fact check to the right–or click to the KUT News interview here.

Donahue closed out our second-anniversary interview by asking if we brought a cake to celebrate.

Kind of: Outside the studio, we cut up home-baked Lovey Dovey walnut brownies, courtesy of a recipe passed to us years ago by reader-listener Susan Williamson. We’d be happy to pass the recipe to you too.

What else?
