Pants on Fire, from both the right and the left

We looked at two recent claims from political pundits that set the meter ablaze:

Conservative radio host Michael Savage called Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan “a New York City radical, Marxist lawyer through and through.” We looked into the evidence and found there was little to support such an inflammatory charge. Pants on Fire!

Meanwhile, on the left, MSNBC commentator Ed Schultz said that Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu “received almost $1.8 million from BP over the last decade.” He issued a correction, saying it was $752,000. Wrong again. The correct number is $25,200. For repeated mangling of the facts: Pants on Fire!
