Ted Cruz leading Scott Walker in Texas? Not in Pants on Fire ratings
Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is lately just a nick ahead of the pack among Republicans in Texas considering possible choices to be the party’s 2016 presidential nominee, according to a fresh poll.
But Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker appears to be surging.
The University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll, released today, lists Cruz as the preferred choice of 20 percent of poll respondents with Walker at 19 percent and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush tied with physician Ben Carson at 9 percent. Former Gov. Rick Perry shows up with 8 percent. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.
As the Tribune’s news story makes clear, poll results can change.
