PolitiFact has been fact-checking and monitoring the indictments of former President Donald Trump.

A unanimous Manhattan jury on May 30 found former President Donald Trump guilty of all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. It’s unclear how this conviction could affect the presidential race but, no matter what happens, Trump is still allowed to run for president.

Trump was indicted by federal grand juries for crimes related to 2020 election interference and his handling of classified documents.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the documents indictment against Trump July 15 ruling that special counsel Jack Smith was improperly appointed. Prosecutors are expected to appeal.

Trump was also indicted by a Fulton County grand jury for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.
