Julián Castro: Less than half of poorest Americans have home web access

Julián Castro, the U.S. secretary of Housing and Urban Development, recently declared that less than half of the poorest Americans have home Internet subscriptions.

A U.S. Census Bureau survey backs that up. It seems reasonable too to speculate that web accounts correlate with household income. That is, 68 percent to 95 percent of higher-income households reported high-speed Internet connections at home.
