Candidates for governor debate in Florida, Wisconsin

Florida and Wisconsin are states with two of the tightest races for governor in the nation, and both have debates scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10, 2014.

In Florida, Gov. Rick Scott and former Gov. Charlie Crist shared the debate stage for the first time on Telemundo as they battle for the Hispanic vote. The candidates faced questions at Telemundo’s studio in Miramar at 11 a.m. ET; the debate is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. (The candidates answered questions in English, and the station translated their answers into Spanish.)

In Wisconsin, Gov. Scott Walker and Mary Burke, a former Trek Bicycle executive, debate in in Eau Claire at 7 p.m. CT. The program is being broadcast live on TV and radio stations around the state. Wisconsin Public Television plans to live stream the event as well.
