Our partners at PolitiFact Texas have been busy fact-checking primary contests for several races in the Lone Star state. Election Day is Tuesday, May 27.

In case you’re wondering which candidates have gotten their facts straight, take a look at the fact-checks of candidates in statewide runoffs to the right. There’s not a True rating among them, though you will see a few Mostly True marks.

Among Republicans, the marquee runoff pits Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and challenger Dan Patrick, the Houston state senator who led the March primary. See Dewhurst’s full PolitiFact record — what we call a report card — here. See Patrick’s report card here.

Also on the GOP ballot, state Sen. Ken Paxton is vying with state Rep. Dan Branch for the attorney general nomination.

On the Democratic ballot, Dallas investor David Alameel and Houston activist Kesha Rogers are toe-to-toe for the party’s U.S. Senate nomination. The victor will face Republican Sen. John Cornyn in November.
