10 News checks out the Scott-O-Meter

By Angie Drobnic Holan
January 9, 2012

10 News recently visited PolitiFact Florida inside the Tampa Bay Times to talk with us about Gov. Rick Scott’s campaign promises on the anniversary of his first year in office.

The report highlights some of Scott’s Promises Kept — including his pledge not to take a salary and to sell the state airplanes — but also zeroes in on his promise to create 700,000 jobs in seven years.

PolitiFact Florida found that promise to be Stalled because Scott has changed the pledge he made in 2010 while on the campaign trail. You can read all about that here.

Click the video to see the report.

(A note: We’ll be fact-checking Scott’s second State of the State address, which is set for Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. We’ll also be Tweeting during the address at @PolitiFactFL.)
