Sorting out the truth on the Sotomayor nomination

By Bill Adair
June 4, 2009

The charges and countercharges about Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor have been fast and furious. We’ve put many of them to the Truth-O-Meter to help you separate fact from fiction.

Now, to make it easy to find them all, we’ve collected them on

a special page

that will be updated throughout the nomination process.

Our Sotomayor nomination page already has six Truth-O-Meter items and one Flip-O-Meter item, and we expect it will have many more before the Senate votes on her nomination in the late summer.

So bookmark the page and check back periodically to see what’s true and what’s not. As always, we welcome your suggestions of facts we should check at truthometer@politifact.com.
