“Oh, God,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appears to say, sighing, at the beginning of a video spreading on social media. “I can’t believe I’m saying this. But I want every diabetic including you to know this.”

He goes on to make a claim about a purported diabetes cure. 

But there is no such cure, and the video is altered.

The original footage of Kennedy comes from an episode of his podcast posted Aug. 9, 2024, on YouTube. The guest was U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and although they discussed the COVID-19 pandemic, they didn’t mention diabetes.

Some of the purported audio from Kennedy in the Facebook video has been used elsewhere in other altered videos in which he appears to hawk a diabetes cure.

Efforts to find a diabetes cure continue, but none exists so far. yet.
