Riley Newton is a senior print & digital news journalism student at the University of Missouri. She will graduate in May of 2018 with an emphasis in news reporting and a minor in English literature. She has covered two sessions of the Missouri General Assembly, first as a reporter for Missouri Digital News in Jefferson City in 2015 and then for the Columbia Missourian in 2016. She has also done freelance reporting for the Columbia Daily Tribune. She has been a print reporter, radio broadcaster, and digital editor.
