Before that, she was a writer and editor with the Washington Post, including stints as a personal finance columnist and editing the newspaper's Wall Street and corporate crime coverage. She is a contributor to The Audit, a Columbia Journalism Review blog on financial journalism and is working on a book about financial journalism to be published in 2012. Her previous books include "Black & White & Red All Over: The Story of a Friendship" with Washington Post columnist Warren Brown and "The Great American Grain Robbery," an investigative look at the international grain trade.
