Joshua Gillin is a staff writer for PolitiFact, PunditFact and the Tampa Bay Times, and former staff writer for PolitiFact Florida. He previously was a reporter, editor and blogger for tbt*, the daily tabloid edition of the Times, and has written about media news (and taught a couple classes about fact-checking) for The Poynter Institute.
Gillin graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in print journalism, but has since appeared on TV and radio hundreds of times. He has taught classes and hosted forums about fact-checking at several schools and universities. Before moving to the Tampa Bay area, Gillin worked in many writing and editing capacities in news, sports and features at the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Savannah (Ga.) Morning News and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
