He's covered the Colorado General Assembly and state political races for KMGH and formerly for the Rocky Mountain News. He has reported on three presidential nominating conventions and has also covered California state and local politics for the San Francisco Chronicle and San Jose Mercury News. Alan has a Masters in Journalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary's College of California.
