PolitiFact found no official announcements, news reports or securities filings showing that Musk has acquired Boeing. Boeing released no statement about a Musk acquisition on its website, and a search of Musk’s X posts showed no such announcements. On Dec. 25, 2024, Musk talked up Boeing’s new CEO and said the previous one “had no idea how airplanes or rockets worked.”
Boeing has submitted no filings to the Securities and Exchange Commission this year that show Musk had bought it. USA Today also debunked this claim.
PolitiFact contacted Boeing for comment but has not heard back.
There’s no proof Musk has acquired Boeing. We rate that claim False.
