Tim Walz, a Democrat, is serving his second term as governor of Minnesota and was the 2024 running mate for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris. Previously, he represented a district in southern Minnesota in the U.S. House. Before entering politics, Walz was a high school teacher and football coach and spent 24 years in the Army National Guard.
