Scott Rigell, R-2nd, is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Second District includes Virginia Beach, the Eastern Shore and parts of Norfolk and Hampton. Rigell, who joined Congress in 2011, serves on the Armed Services and Budget committees.
Rigell was raised in Titusville, Fla. Rigell, who owns two new car dealerships, served for six years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. He has an associates degree from Brevard Community College, now Eastern Florida State College, a bachelor's degree from Georgia's Mercer University, and a master's degree from Regent University, Virginia Beach.
