Rashida Tlaib
Rep. Rashida Tlaib is a congresswoman representing Michigan's 13th Congressional District. Her district includes Detroit, where was born and raised by Palestinian immigrant parents. Tlaib was elected in 2018 after working as an attorney and state representative. She is one of the two first Muslim women to serve in Congress, as well as the first Palestinian-American woman.
