Mike Huckabee ran for the Republican nomination for president in 2016. In November 2016, President-elect Donald Trump nominated him to be Israel ambassador. Huckabee is a former governor of Arkansas; he also sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. He left hosting a self-titled television show on Fox News in January 2015.
