Kathy Tran

Kathy Tran, a Democrat, was elected to Virginia's House of Delegates in 2018. She represents the 42nd District in Fairfax County.

She was born in Vietnam, and her parents fled with her on a boat when she was seven months old. Tran is a graduate of Duke University and has a master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan. She's worked in policy roles for the U.S. Department of Labor and the National Immigration Forum.
