Brett McGurk is President Donald Trump’s former special envoy for the coalition to counter the Islamic State. He previously served in senior national security positions under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
He is currently a lecturer at Stanford University, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a foreign affairs analyst for NBC News and MSNBC.
