Wisconsin state Sen. Bob Wirch, a Democrat from Pleasant Prairie in Kenosha County in southeastern Wisconsin, has served in the Senate since 1996. He survived a recall election in 2011. Wirch served in the state Assembly from 1992 to 1996.
