Andrew Yang filed paperwork with the New York City Campaign Finance Board Dec. 23 which allows him to explore a bid for mayor in 2021. Yang is an entrepreneur and founder of Venture for America New York. Yang received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brown University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. In 2017, he announced he was running for the Democratic nomination for president and dropped out in February 2020.
