Fact-checking the Republican debate in Michigan

We’ll be listening closely as the economy takes center stage at tonight’s 90-minute Republican presidential debate at 7 Central time on CNBC.

Eight candidates will face the Truth-O-Meter as they clash over their plans for taxes and government spending, including Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. They may also delve into regulation, bailouts, housing and the Occupy Wall Street protests, CNBC says.
